PINK VACATION CAMPAIGN 2012
Responding to the plan “Pink vacation 2012” organized bythe Youth Union of District 1, i.e. the volunteer program at Can Gio District - Ho Chi Minh City on 21st and 22nd July 2012, members of the Youth Union of A&C have participated in the activities of the Youth Union of District 1 to give support to the families facing serious difficulties in Can Gio District.
With the support from the management of A&C, the Youth Union’s branch has contributed VND 5.000.000 to repair the friendship houses of members of the Youth Union in Can Gio District.
Coming to Can Gio District at 8:30, all members assigned tasks immediately. Men dug road with local members of the Youth Union. Women played with the children and then visited local policy families. They gave their regards, talked, and gave small but sentimental gifts to the families.
In the evening, all members joined the performance and gave gifts to poor pupils overcoming difficulties in Can Gio District.
Early morning of Sunday 22 July 2012, all members came to the martyrs' cemetery of Can Gio District to pull out grass, take care of and clean the gravestones for the martyrs. They have been told about the magnanimous history of the country and burnt incense at the cemetery.
At 10am, all members were loath to part with Can Gio and made an appointment at the next year.
After the Pink Vacation Campaign, the Youth Union’s branch of A&C has had the honour of receipt of certificate of merit from the Youth Union of District 1 for excellent achievements in this campaign.
